The Language Company - ShawneeDescriptionOur intensive English programs begin every four weeks and offer five instructional hours plus one optional study hour daily. SEI offers nine levels of English placements. The program features instruction in verbal skills, grammar, reading and academic writing. Electives offered are TOEFL preparation, Creative Writing, American Culture, Vocabulary, Conversation and Computer Skills. The optional study hours allow students easy access to teachers for private tutorials, to the computer lab or the library. University preparation courses are available. SEI offers University placement services to students at no charge. English for Special Purposes (ESP) include courses in business, computers, Community Experience and Internships. Study Vacation programs are available for students 12-18 years of age.
LocationShawnee is a small city in the heart of Oklahoma, a safe and beautiful environment. Shawnee is located thirty five miles east of Oklahoma City, the capital of the state, and three hours north of Dallas, Texas. The state is rich in Western and Native American culture. Weather is moderate, cost of living is low and the people are very welcoming.

Apartments and hotels are available off-campus and are arranged by the students themselves. Student ServicesAirport pickup service is available to all students. At TLC - Shawnee we have a library, computer lab, many classrooms, conference rooms, student lounge and media equipment. SEI students have access to full campus facilities. A fully equipped gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool, several tennis courts, horse riding arena and racquet ball courts are located within easy walking distance. Educational Service OpportunitiesAll classes are conducted in an international environment. University placement service and counseling are available at no charge to students. Conditional acceptances and I-20's are issued prior to arrival. Community Experience and Internship programs allow students to obtain experience in a "real world" English environment. TLC - Shawnee offers a monthly instructional TOEFL exam, computer lab, library and private instructions.
