English Language Center

Description

The English Language Center (ELC) provides instruction to international students who need to improve their language skills before beginning academic coursework and to individuals who are not seeking a degree, but who seriously want to improve their English skills. Location

Centrally located between Detroit and Chicago, on the campus of Michigan State University. Local population approximately 100,000 between East lansing and the State Capitol, Lansing.

Teaching Qualifications

The ELC has qualified, dedicated, and professional instructors who have at least a master's degree in TESOL or a related field or who are working towards this degree.

Facilities

ELC students are very much a part of the university community. Classes are held on campus and all the university facilities are open to them. The ELC makes full use of a state-of the art language Learning Center, where students use computers to assist their language learning. Students also have MSU e-mail accounts.

Dormitories require aged 18 and older. We assist with reuesting University Housing. We do not arrange apartments, hotels, or homestays.

Student Advising: The ELC provides advising for its students in the areas of English language, immigration, and cultural adjustment. Health Services: The Olin Health Center, located on campus, provides medical care for all ELC students.

Information and guidance is available for those students interested in pursuing academic degree programs at MSU.
